How many parents out there have nicknames for your child(ren)? Now, I'm not talking about the nicknames like Sue from Susan or Pete from Peter! I am talking about those nicknames that a child gets because of the way they are! For instance, I believe I was called 'Wreck-a-Bek' when I was a kid. Who knows the real meaning of that and I never wanted to find out. Anyway, nicknames... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Which will bring me to my story about a certain little boy, name M-A-I-S-O-N or as he's known often around me, the <i>'Animal'</i>. Which will be nickname #1 for him. As you read you will find that he has more than one. Now, some of you may think that's harsh and if so then you have never raised boys and if you have raised boys, never one like mine. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGmWm7mORSS_-IRulIWS0o6UduOBsw0zs9cMCN4TwSWbYo0Ji5_gOPizlvh84QSWVeWatrgwLU0TL2a5Wa26gVejvMxYn_vbF-V2sWmd6-e5F4Yhs1QJv7baIajggJPCl6a2habNRnteM/s1600/Maison1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGmWm7mORSS_-IRulIWS0o6UduOBsw0zs9cMCN4TwSWbYo0Ji5_gOPizlvh84QSWVeWatrgwLU0TL2a5Wa26gVejvMxYn_vbF-V2sWmd6-e5F4Yhs1QJv7baIajggJPCl6a2habNRnteM/s1600/Maison1.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Boys are supposed to be more active than girls, yes, that is true. Let me ask you a question. Have any of you had to keep a baby gate up at the bathroom door so a little person won't go in there and make a mess of it? When I say make a mess, I mean destroy. Nickname #2 - the <i>'Destroyer'</i>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe5EnM3XOwy7WpjRlgvSgEl8c-cPbbgX7snXpUVffYu8JArA_QWgbzC_XWvuqasoNl_f6nAmqd_q8dUdlwz9mpV6Fw_4Jdnoo5OdD0WZb0R1yr6vrmfK2VaLVJBL9PtcKbpc_iqaSKNDI/s1600/Maison2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe5EnM3XOwy7WpjRlgvSgEl8c-cPbbgX7snXpUVffYu8JArA_QWgbzC_XWvuqasoNl_f6nAmqd_q8dUdlwz9mpV6Fw_4Jdnoo5OdD0WZb0R1yr6vrmfK2VaLVJBL9PtcKbpc_iqaSKNDI/s1600/Maison2.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
We recently went to visit friends of ours that also have a 2 year boy. When they introduced him to us, they called him the 'BEAST'. Now, I didn't feel so bad calling ours the 'Animal'. So, the Animal and the Beast were introduced and it was double the terrible 2's! A lot of tantrums and a lot of NO's!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYNCQX4mDyzRCQFbwziIYu000pLsfQE76Es4_Qwy9pNE1A6356l_OlH6kbM467c4qHttero1P0oR9gtf0ajKaHkEmY4ePJxtCXOQGEsPCXLQJm7wdi_SIZOU6fffmLILZ5mVP3iv0sJlA/s1600/Maison3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYNCQX4mDyzRCQFbwziIYu000pLsfQE76Es4_Qwy9pNE1A6356l_OlH6kbM467c4qHttero1P0oR9gtf0ajKaHkEmY4ePJxtCXOQGEsPCXLQJm7wdi_SIZOU6fffmLILZ5mVP3iv0sJlA/s1600/Maison3.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
There have been times when I have had to carry him like a football in the mall just so we could leave. Do I believe in spanking? Yes, I am a Mom that spanks. So, yes, I spanked him in the mall, but nothing was working. So this brings me to my nickname #3 for Maison and that is <i>'The Holy Terror'</i>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWSDMbqTYbzOn1Rjv_7F-9T1GA1QpreMoTvY2XbLZcYscLK8_DTeOHIPsOd9l4mOhh0MbmwSkahQgM5FkuokpAPg3dYiZhO5yuxJIp8nkVfFwWjvQ2-fCrzFUZnvuBiSfPy9GqW6XHLwE/s1600/Maison4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWSDMbqTYbzOn1Rjv_7F-9T1GA1QpreMoTvY2XbLZcYscLK8_DTeOHIPsOd9l4mOhh0MbmwSkahQgM5FkuokpAPg3dYiZhO5yuxJIp8nkVfFwWjvQ2-fCrzFUZnvuBiSfPy9GqW6XHLwE/s1600/Maison4.jpg" height="385" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Despite all the ranting I am doing about this little animal of mine, he tends to always bring joy to my heart and makes me laugh. Although he tells me NO when I try to give him kisses and hugs, he smiles and laughs when I sneak one on his cheek! Even though he gets an attitude, says NO, and crosses his arms, I can't be mad. Instead I pray, pray, pray that he will grow out of it very, very, very soon! His Mommy and Daddy are tired of the little attitude.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTIXJZ-e6tHWJKjFxh_lYLtxZoxWMSVr6XYBnYM3zmtPqHgFp4Z09XHqOEDhY-Mi4d_tiW56eH-I46vYjYg8bfpX5InGhHiUM5LU6QXLbrcHn2GFKLDX6EiXT2za3eNcIUK-ems8zCCMw/s1600/Maison.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTIXJZ-e6tHWJKjFxh_lYLtxZoxWMSVr6XYBnYM3zmtPqHgFp4Z09XHqOEDhY-Mi4d_tiW56eH-I46vYjYg8bfpX5InGhHiUM5LU6QXLbrcHn2GFKLDX6EiXT2za3eNcIUK-ems8zCCMw/s1600/Maison.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
As I am writing this, he is fast asleep in his room. It is peaceful right at this very moment, but soon the 'Animal' will awake and it will start all over again. Bring it, I am ready!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know this moment will not last forever. Someday my little Animal will turn into a man and I hope one day he can enjoy a little 'Animal' of his own!! </div>
<div>

So, up to now, I have been pretty quiet on the blogger scene, but I feel like it is time for me to get back on here and share what I have been up to these past few months.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Back in March, I turned 35 and I was unhappy with the way I looked. You know that feeling when a camera is around and you do everything you can to avoid being in the picture? Yeah, that was me. I would rather take the pictures than be in them. So, I decided to get myself back on track and start doing that app I heard people talk about, <i>Couch to 5K</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After I got a little more comfortable with the way I looked I wanted to start doing some 5K's here and there.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirKSrBGvJF8NzFcgQaBeuGs9Y-UMBcCE_57M-ubDudrXQI1LjCsqRJv3t4A_yfp0bPURLBBL5gNClmNSfspDPgK8QiK9dCuNko6IWNXVtBKQp4L5zkSkox4gKp8ivh8wfkUBLTkARh4yk/s1600/blog3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirKSrBGvJF8NzFcgQaBeuGs9Y-UMBcCE_57M-ubDudrXQI1LjCsqRJv3t4A_yfp0bPURLBBL5gNClmNSfspDPgK8QiK9dCuNko6IWNXVtBKQp4L5zkSkox4gKp8ivh8wfkUBLTkARh4yk/s1600/blog3.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The very first one I did was the Glow Run 2013! First of all, the group I went with fibbed to me and told me that we were going to be walking, NOT running! Secondly, it was at night, so when the group I was with started running without giving me any notice at all, nobody could see the pain and agony in my face! So, I guess night races have their perks after all and it's not just the deliciously cold beer waiting for you at the end of the line. It does help you get to the finish line a lot faster though, but anyway, I am getting off topic... Needless to say, after no warning of running and no stretching beforehand, I was sore the next day or so. Yikes!! I felt so old! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I actually started doing the Couch to 5K app a few months after this painful, yet motivational race. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ08D2zb-fqlJmFxE7mxilS5DKYj-BToZ85KDs6173yirpiiXxAwp5FNOQtwUZl4S9gg7PiiOkxf9pYVtsp_8z4bc1NX0o2DrxAWiJoc2RP495PfFwWr_JtVfHgjoL-lw_0uRXnpeUJjc/s1600/blog1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ08D2zb-fqlJmFxE7mxilS5DKYj-BToZ85KDs6173yirpiiXxAwp5FNOQtwUZl4S9gg7PiiOkxf9pYVtsp_8z4bc1NX0o2DrxAWiJoc2RP495PfFwWr_JtVfHgjoL-lw_0uRXnpeUJjc/s1600/blog1.jpg" height="320" width="238" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My best time ever and have not been able to beat yet was with my sister. We did another Glow Run - June 2014. She runs all the time and recently did a Triathlon, so I was a little intimidated to run with her. She got me through it though. She encouraged me with a little push to get me across that finish line. Although, I might add that this was also a night race, but little perks at the end (no beer), just a banana and a bottled water. So, chances of me doing this one again is slim to none.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijnJUBaECWhkW0Zin2-0gmvmltKNlBORyQGZ8cp7zhfqlQCIxIHCYCigYpSpwW32TwUklV5YcFrPN-k2YSanXiP9RrV-MUwuv9TLH9heHDNCbCqEL2Im8OMEEe2nLK2Q4czVPcGsCuF6I/s1600/10418358_10152460680168672_7696967744039215089_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijnJUBaECWhkW0Zin2-0gmvmltKNlBORyQGZ8cp7zhfqlQCIxIHCYCigYpSpwW32TwUklV5YcFrPN-k2YSanXiP9RrV-MUwuv9TLH9heHDNCbCqEL2Im8OMEEe2nLK2Q4czVPcGsCuF6I/s1600/10418358_10152460680168672_7696967744039215089_n.jpg" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Onto another race, I think this was the Royal Ball Run for Autism - June 2014 and this time I talked my 11 year old son, Peter to run it with me. Now, remember I asked him to run it "with" me. The reason I remind you of that is because he did NOT run it with me. He left me in the dust, literally! I couldn't find him, he was that far ahead of me. He did it 5 minutes faster than I did. He was at the finish line passing out waters to runners crossing the finish line. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaAdp-baDAbyAu2Vb0A-Gdi31qpzGMSF1iDacBL6uGshIX8_U8Tmy_eXnPU83OCR-eg6xZgrszXm8rAJ_2tYNqBb7FyLjgwGP5ooeA9OzYC37L-YZ041oAAv5wWnJ-MmPGgaENrkaQn3Y/s1600/blog4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaAdp-baDAbyAu2Vb0A-Gdi31qpzGMSF1iDacBL6uGshIX8_U8Tmy_eXnPU83OCR-eg6xZgrszXm8rAJ_2tYNqBb7FyLjgwGP5ooeA9OzYC37L-YZ041oAAv5wWnJ-MmPGgaENrkaQn3Y/s1600/blog4.jpg" height="320" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next 5K my son and I wanted to do was the Firecracker Run - July 4th, 2014. I learned my lesson from last time though and decided to have a friend run with me this time, since my son loves having me pay for his runs, but never actually likes to <i>run</i> with me! He's a really nice kid. I wasn't worried this time though because I had a running buddy with me this time and she wasn't going to leave me in the dust, right? Wrong. Again, my son passed the finish line before me and so did my runny buddy. Did I give up on 5K's? No I didn't!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGAfCPpahjn1RGsrPnfxG5eolblI6PzoybZon-neA5Bgxh3PQLTtmK9-OR4_RJVAm36mF-rXqWqb2r43Yy8t9vGAFdfojgrh2_Pzloi4ytRxg15afwdcmgd_R-XfLIX5KrEsYgB-b2PCk/s1600/blog2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGAfCPpahjn1RGsrPnfxG5eolblI6PzoybZon-neA5Bgxh3PQLTtmK9-OR4_RJVAm36mF-rXqWqb2r43Yy8t9vGAFdfojgrh2_Pzloi4ytRxg15afwdcmgd_R-XfLIX5KrEsYgB-b2PCk/s1600/blog2.jpg" height="320" width="238" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The last 5K my son and I did "together". I use the word "together" loosely since we always start out "together' but he always winds up sprinting ahead of me and we are no longer "together". Anyway, it was the Freedom 5K - August 2014. This time I learned my lesson though. No running buddy and no son to run with. I was now going to solely depend on my new friend Pandora to give me the push and motivation I needed to get me across that finish line! Thanks to Pitbull and Usher and many more on getting me there! His time was quicker than mine as usual, but it still felt good to do something with my son.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, I want to tell everyone reading this, you can do it! If I can do it, so can you! Dust off those sneakers, find a good sports bra that fits (cause you want those girls in there tight when you are running in public), and last, but not least, make time for yourself. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will start sharing my fitness routines with you and tell you what works for me. I also feel like I should share with you the people that inspired me to get into shape, but I will still share stories about my kids and family life because that's still #1! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to encourage people to <i><span style="color: red;">GET UP</span></i>, <i><span style="color: red;">GET MOVING</span></i>, and <i><span style="color: red;">GET OUT THERE</span></i>!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What are you waiting for?? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

How long has it been? Way too long I think! Absence makes the heart grow fonder right? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, here is a little update on my crew:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My kids are growing up way too fast! Peter is 10 years old, 5th grade, and he claims he is a "pre-teen". Who ever came up with that word ought to be slapped!! He just finished basketball and now taking a break from sports to do some sledding down some slopes this winter. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Abigail is 4 years old, home schooled in pre-k, and loves to pretend she is a little Mommy! She has started taking tumbling and loving every minute of it! She sleeps pretty good those nights.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Maison is 20 months old already and DESTROYS everything! Now, when I say destroys, I mean, completely wrecks everything. I have never had to put baby gates up like I do with him to keep him out of things. Although he has the cutest little smile that just warms my heart that I can't help but hug him - even if he just pulled everything out of the bathroom drawers! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It has been awhile since I have posted anything, but I thought since it was Father's Day yesterday I would write a little something about the special men in my life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5o9nVOzI4X0ncgL7PvOTO3smZxDCUkXvjED01Z8ZRzYdysdxgA3TT5FXm65HhYdkP7fipqxUsDlZaRhpPgbZkqfFw9yF7_1wpcOilDw2CHwYSP9LvFCPEzkH5pscl3Q-4nHY_rr_DrqQ/s1600/happy-fathers-day.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5o9nVOzI4X0ncgL7PvOTO3smZxDCUkXvjED01Z8ZRzYdysdxgA3TT5FXm65HhYdkP7fipqxUsDlZaRhpPgbZkqfFw9yF7_1wpcOilDw2CHwYSP9LvFCPEzkH5pscl3Q-4nHY_rr_DrqQ/s320/happy-fathers-day.gif" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 - my father - he has been there since I was born, the good, the bad, you name it. I have fond memories of laying under one of the cars he was working on and checking it out. I also remember following him with my hands in his back pocket too. Now, that I am older, I look forward to our little talks. He is a good father and a grandfather and I am thankful he is in my life.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 - my husband - the 2nd man that came into my life. Right away he was a step dad and he didn't care. He treated Peter like his own and for that I love him. We have had our ups and downs, but through it all, I am so proud of the husband and father he has become. </div>

<span style="color: #20124d;">Facing whatever may come his way,</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: 16px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 24px; padding-left: 1em; text-align: center; text-indent: -1em;">
<span style="color: #20124d;">Silent, whenever the harsh condemn,</span></div>

<span style="color: #20124d;">And bearing it all for the love of them.</span></div>

Well, I haven't posted anything in awhile, but this was definitely blog worthy! First, I must warn you, there are a lot of pictures. Second, they are mostly of Peter playing ball, and third, I can only take credit for the team picture. The other pictures were taken by my Uncle Mike with his really great camera! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, after years of being on different little league teams, he finally landed a good team! All the kids get a long, play well together, and have been making the parents really proud of all their hard work! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The weekend was filled with 5 games. The boys had 2 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday! They did awesome! They ended up getting 1st place in the mid season tournament! So proud of the team and the coaches!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was a long weekend in the sun, swatting away gnats, and not so healthy concession eating, but it paid off and the boys took home a nice medal!! </div>

Ok, so my husband and I decided it was finally time to do some remodeling on our home. My husband has been helping friends and family with their renovations and is finally able to get to ours! I am super excited about this, but not so excited at how our house looks presently. Our kitchen is all a mess, our hallway is down to the plywood, we have the dining room table and chairs in the living room, and everything from the kitchen cabinets is also in the living room. Yes, it has put our normal routine out of whack, but the final outcome will be amazing!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What are we doing to our home you ask? Well, we are taking the creamy white carpet up in the living room, hallway, and stairs and putting wood laminate down there. We are also pulling up the flooring in the kitchen and doing the wood laminate out there as well. Now, when I say "we" in my post here, I am not trying to make you think that I am doing any of the renovations. I just want to make that clear right now. I am not going to take any of the credit. I am giving it ALL to my wonderful husband! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZFNyICx_FGS2qfpy-awkaM-2Xb6GLlJbTntSfo8GomMFx84ILdWh0QO2nHfEOXCOfpUWdTT5Cf2g7tcBx31O4V5d5Sac4Fn7qPElM9sAJ-TELOLP5_HffPr5rK04WRq9LlAljVJGln_Q/s1600/remodel+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZFNyICx_FGS2qfpy-awkaM-2Xb6GLlJbTntSfo8GomMFx84ILdWh0QO2nHfEOXCOfpUWdTT5Cf2g7tcBx31O4V5d5Sac4Fn7qPElM9sAJ-TELOLP5_HffPr5rK04WRq9LlAljVJGln_Q/s320/remodel+1.jpg" width="238" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Day 1 - ripped up carpet and trim in the hallway.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzX80Ceh9WtTnYIWdcVzEwfZcXkMpgADoT3cdhBdrzi16N4U1CvQPVjHO-NHrJB6MMYZXojef7eQmb9PMxNM_jJy1hxfn2U3sxje-qTr8DUCvlvwSIP2c0tCyuB-trZ_xwHAaqeLWmA8o/s1600/remodel2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzX80Ceh9WtTnYIWdcVzEwfZcXkMpgADoT3cdhBdrzi16N4U1CvQPVjHO-NHrJB6MMYZXojef7eQmb9PMxNM_jJy1hxfn2U3sxje-qTr8DUCvlvwSIP2c0tCyuB-trZ_xwHAaqeLWmA8o/s320/remodel2.jpg" width="238" /></a>.</td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Day 2 - ripped out the 4 layers of flooring in the kitchen /dining room .</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next step is to pull out the rest of the stuff in the cabinets. It is also a good time to decide to decide if I want to keep or throw away anything I haven't used or forgot that I had! The items that get pushed way back in the cabinets and you don't miss them, probably are the items that should just be tossed!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, today I have the toughest job of all - deciding on which color I want to paint the cabinets in the kitchen! Reza doesn't care. The only things he cares about is that I make the decision soon (TODAY) because the flooring can't go in until we paint!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I currently found a recipe for homemade cheese crackers and wanted to try them since, 1) the recipe didn't call for an off the wall ingredient that I was going to have to buy this 1 time and never use again, 2) easy to make, and 3) I was in the mood for Cheeze Its! As most of you know most of the recipes I find, make, and eventually post are from Pinterest! So, here is another one of my Pinterest finds, Homemade Cheese Crackers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm9_BW-O4X7sAUUjHuTDOupuSaKLROuYBM0qG9eAjoEywSsUh2jv2mq1p3uMZQn4WAYy9LDNROWeOVJntGMi7YL5wQIGgpuxQrArMglcUuCaA20pImbycIGNMRvYvI7QqudMo73vqnQCQ/s1600/IMG_2522.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm9_BW-O4X7sAUUjHuTDOupuSaKLROuYBM0qG9eAjoEywSsUh2jv2mq1p3uMZQn4WAYy9LDNROWeOVJntGMi7YL5wQIGgpuxQrArMglcUuCaA20pImbycIGNMRvYvI7QqudMo73vqnQCQ/s400/IMG_2522.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In they go!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The recipe only called for flour, milk, cheese, salt, butter (I used unsalted butter since I was already adding salt), and crushed red pepper flakes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi55az4XqUFFzRXU6HgQ9EDlE_miT_dUO1OB-GhCm7Qd3d6cIgUz9iJb_kbCV-q1EThmcLgjKe3hDBf8Ak22HqKpV2ake7UtFO27klt5lx23tI67P3oIzObvlUDGjXh6aaEj8obvJuwkUo/s1600/IMG_2523.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi55az4XqUFFzRXU6HgQ9EDlE_miT_dUO1OB-GhCm7Qd3d6cIgUz9iJb_kbCV-q1EThmcLgjKe3hDBf8Ak22HqKpV2ake7UtFO27klt5lx23tI67P3oIzObvlUDGjXh6aaEj8obvJuwkUo/s400/IMG_2523.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Out they come! My house smelled like cheese! I tried them on all my kids, husband, and my Mom. Thumbs up from all of them! I will definitely make them again. Next time I will roll them out a little thinner so I get more crackers. These were gone in a day! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The 2 things I will probably do differently with them next time is to roll them out thinner and do half whole wheat flour and half regular flour. Other than that, they were yummy!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh, I almost forgot to leave you the recipe: go <a href="http://www.chef-in-training.com/2012/11/homemade-cheese-crackers/" target="_blank">to this yummy site</a> and make them today!</div>

Well, Maison turned the big O-N-E yesterday, but we had his birthday party on Saturday! There were moments that time stood still for me and stopped moving. I thought I would never get through the first 6 months! At least that's what I thought at times with Maison. Here we are though celebrating his 1st year with friends and family memebers. </div>

See his expression? Well, he had that for most of the party. It wasn't until after everyone left that he came out of his shell and started laughing and smiling! I think he was a little overwhelmed with all the commotion!</div>

WARNING !!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Peter is now 10 years old!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yep! He is now in the double digits! So big now! So, it's only fitting to add a baby picture of him! I can still remember it like it was yesterday. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My Mom went with me to just a routine doctor's appointment and we were so looking forward to having chinese for lunch. It turned out the doctor and Peter had other plans. Peter ended up being born about 5 hours later! Of course that is the short version of the story. I figured you could do without the labor and delivery details. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
He requested that I make an Oreo Pie for his big birthday celebration! It was quite yummy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
His birthday menu was the following:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Steak</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Baked Potato</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Salad</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Break for presents</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oreo Pie</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was planning on grilling the steak and potatoes outside, but due to the enormous amount of rain we have been getting my George Foreman and crock pot were there to save the day.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
He was SO excited to get this shirt and I don't know why! What exactly is Minecraft anyway? All I know is that Peter loves it! He learned about it from one of his friends at school. I will have to thank that Mom (she knows who she is) for that! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
He LOVES the Cubs! So, he was excited to add another Cubs poster to his Cubs themed room! I have no idea where we are going to put this! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Peter is also a fan of Tony Hawk and the color red! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Finally, the Oreo pie with 10 candles!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Peter also got a brand new bike and an Ipod touch! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next day he said it was the best birthday! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I don't know how we will be able to top that at his 11th birthday!!</div>

I haven't posted anything in awhile. The weather is slowly getting warm enough to play outside and I was busy planning a 4th birthday party for our Miss Abigail. It is remarkable how fast they grow up! Every single day she amazes me so much with what she knows, wants to do, and wants to learn. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had to share a picture of Abigail from when she was 2. She was so cute. She is still cute, but that chubbiness has gone away and I loved that. She didn't say "no" or "I can do it myself" yet. Not like she does now! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdXLV1z7M9RYT_7RLHQNJAnGIJwLoQmCMW-1nLvreCVN4bHYn6b7JkJkHN8tfEAqFCEr6ZEPiuR8cnX2gmKp2119e_lVy2oN2dEgUews-UWuVA-iMK7hhGj2Ejka-tserKnwQ4gsdKjHo/s1600/IMG_0856a+-+Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdXLV1z7M9RYT_7RLHQNJAnGIJwLoQmCMW-1nLvreCVN4bHYn6b7JkJkHN8tfEAqFCEr6ZEPiuR8cnX2gmKp2119e_lVy2oN2dEgUews-UWuVA-iMK7hhGj2Ejka-tserKnwQ4gsdKjHo/s320/IMG_0856a+-+Copy.jpg" width="309" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here she is with her birthday smile and a new pink barrette in her hair. She actually has a good smile for us! It doesn't usually happen. Normally she likes to goofy and stick out her tongue or even cross her eyes! Yes, I said cross her eyes! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She loves those fans! What kid doesn't?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpW6RXSg_ZMD8cPkzgX-kUp1oi0P2IjTf0m2glWmdnCbutgqYqtHdEp6-8PaPXWAckU-eUaWZFmTfsdUlm-qmLjqXgkgldGLuU7TIrK_c1hdOA7tPEvKnU-6kwz57HYqE0A6hbwrVk2Oo/s1600/IMG_0894+-+Copy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpW6RXSg_ZMD8cPkzgX-kUp1oi0P2IjTf0m2glWmdnCbutgqYqtHdEp6-8PaPXWAckU-eUaWZFmTfsdUlm-qmLjqXgkgldGLuU7TIrK_c1hdOA7tPEvKnU-6kwz57HYqE0A6hbwrVk2Oo/s320/IMG_0894+-+Copy.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you get to see her birthday outfit! A multi colored tutu with a pink shirt! I think she even wore the tutu when she went with my husband to pick up the balloons! It was her birthday! She can wear whatever, it's her day! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVGY4L6viWRKy4qiNI_pDAx4H_K3DqPVjzJ8NRJ3CpqSXqsH1UtxGWmBgeREDgdnVwG7O2Ur2es7OUn37mKJIh53_cs_Rxhgufun7pUEGVaEPz_TsZA-9RsR8S6ieaPL0ej60Jn1y3Ay0/s1600/IMG_0857a+-+Copy+-+Copy+-+Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVGY4L6viWRKy4qiNI_pDAx4H_K3DqPVjzJ8NRJ3CpqSXqsH1UtxGWmBgeREDgdnVwG7O2Ur2es7OUn37mKJIh53_cs_Rxhgufun7pUEGVaEPz_TsZA-9RsR8S6ieaPL0ej60Jn1y3Ay0/s320/IMG_0857a+-+Copy+-+Copy+-+Copy.jpg" width="302" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Aren't big brothers nice? I wouldn't know because I never had one, but Abigail does and she was loving all of his help. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, 1 birthday down and 2 more to go. Peter's is the 17th and Maison's is the 30th! Whew!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I am so sorry for being MIA lately on my blog! I don't know where the time went! Anyway, here I am, back and ready to tell you about what I have been up to. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I recently celebrated my 34th birthday, yes, my 34th! I am happy about it. Most days I feel older, but I definitely don't act like it! I guess that is a good thing. On one hand my kids make me feel old and then on the other they make me young! My Mom made my 2 faves which are Ham loaf and for dessert my Creme de Menthe cake! Yum, yum, and yum!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
My son is on Spring Break from school and came up to me this morning at 8:30 and told me he was "bored"! Really? Mom, if you are reading this, did I ever say that to you? If I did, I am sorry. Last night he was able to go to the Iowa NIT basketball game and had so much fun! He went with his Dad, Grandpa, cousin, and uncle! So, I guess it was a boy's night. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am currently planning Abigail's 4th birthday party. She wants it to be a Dora theme this year. So, I was nice and gave the Dora cake pan to my Mom to do. She always asks why I don't try and do it myself, but I blame it on the fact that I have a shaky hand! It may not be that shaky, but my Mom would do a MUCH better job than I would! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My family and I are sick to death of this goofy weather and pray that it starts warming up soon. Although, I think there is a chance of snow headed our way again! The zoo has opened up, but it has been too cold to go! <br />
<br />
So, that is my little update on what has been going on here. Have a good weekend everyone and stay warm!</div>

Here I am in the middle of March finally posting pictures of Maison now at 10 months old! Bad mother? I am definitely not. I didn't forget. Time just got away from me! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyway, he is on the go these days. He LOVES following me when I vacuum so he has made it pretty difficult to clean the house. Does he crawl? Uh, yeah! Does he crawl slow? Nope. When he wants a toy or one of Abigail's puzzle pieces he will get it! So fun to watch him. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuRyG72EIziov4LjNNrnOdBKxs6Hts6J10x2730wSxAvTq6zm8-OkRD1PPV7N1mSnImPUFCGjxm9FZKjR85r4BKd2vTHwdN43dcMYxvbYENWCpwjd818-vf3IWexpFIg-l3SG9TtLjDnw/s1600/IMG_2426.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuRyG72EIziov4LjNNrnOdBKxs6Hts6J10x2730wSxAvTq6zm8-OkRD1PPV7N1mSnImPUFCGjxm9FZKjR85r4BKd2vTHwdN43dcMYxvbYENWCpwjd818-vf3IWexpFIg-l3SG9TtLjDnw/s320/IMG_2426.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
He smiles a lot more these days. He is getting quite the personality. Does he still have the occasional attitude? Yes he does and I don't see that going away anytime soon! He now likes to show off his 3 teeth and let me tell you, he does NOT let me forget they are there! Nursing Moms - I don't think I need to elaborate on that any further. He still LOVES staying up later than his brother and sister. My husband and I are hoping that it is just a phase because it makes it very hard to watch our movies or our recorded shows (Psych and Duck Dynasty are 2 examples). We rented Taken 2 and finally were able to watch it a couple days later. Red Box is so nice and cheap, but we spend more on the late fees! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still can't believe he is 10 months old already. He is just so precious! He loves following his sister around and smiles and laughs every time she comes around. </div>

When my husband and I decided to keep our daughter home and not send her to preschool it wasn't just because I was a SAHM. Even though that was a HUGE part of it, that wasn't the only reason. In my mind, I felt like it would benefit her more to stay home for preschool rather than send her. The preschool I would have to send her to is ALL day and EVERY day! I was a little scared to put her on that bus! I also wanted more time with her at home. Before long she will be getting on that bus and heading down the road and that will be it. Trying to hold back the tears...<i> </i>So, I decided to try my hand at homeschooling her. Well....easier said than done. There are days where she is so wound up that I can't get her to sit down for 5 minutes and listen. I found this neat idea on Pinterest and she really likes it. All I did was buy beads, pipe cleaners, and I already had index cards.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3EqWc5V710uixnAm2v2q_2kszuOAFxiTSx74VCK0V4z-Ft-4MbFe-thqKG3lxvBaC43zFryo9epi0covWMgs_YormwPyovrPax1_PLj-eXCaHA7G7g0YhdeHDyd34n2vsqAXi1CZYy0U/s1600/IMG_2391.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3EqWc5V710uixnAm2v2q_2kszuOAFxiTSx74VCK0V4z-Ft-4MbFe-thqKG3lxvBaC43zFryo9epi0covWMgs_YormwPyovrPax1_PLj-eXCaHA7G7g0YhdeHDyd34n2vsqAXi1CZYy0U/s320/IMG_2391.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cut the pipe cleaners in half. Cut the index cards and put numbers on them. I went from 1 to 15 for now.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASvmJ-BFFbSJ3Ig6FjwKRF2acddRvwZL02D3NO2D74GbFgOGhgJZZnWGT_VwnImzxqP5YZZG4yMwG5OotMaD0nuDCUp8w-VfmbSBdZ3Y1xkmqzU3WA7YKT1k7I9DxS89tJcdHAsP0bXw/s1600/IMG_2392.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASvmJ-BFFbSJ3Ig6FjwKRF2acddRvwZL02D3NO2D74GbFgOGhgJZZnWGT_VwnImzxqP5YZZG4yMwG5OotMaD0nuDCUp8w-VfmbSBdZ3Y1xkmqzU3WA7YKT1k7I9DxS89tJcdHAsP0bXw/s320/IMG_2392.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then, there you go. An easy way to teach your child to count. Whatever number the pipe cleaner has on it is how many beads she puts on the designated pipe cleaner!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You know that chaotic time in your house? Ours is right around dinner time! The baby is crying, Peter is getting home from school, and she is wanting to be right where I am in the kitchen. I brought this out and let her work on it and it kept her busy while I could finish getting dinner ready! She loved it! </div>

Well, it has been winter for a few months, but the weather has been so goofy here in the midwest! We got about 5 inches here yesterday and so the kids took advantage of it since it may be the last, but like I said the weather has been really goofy this year so who really knows. Peter's school was canceled on Tuesday too so he was itching to go outside.</div>
<div>

Abigail, a 3 year old, did more shoveling than my 9 year old. How funny is that! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Maison finally got to play with the house all by himself without Abigail pushing it away or picking it up and taking it to the other side of the room. I just realized his socks don't match his outfit. Oh well!! It was a snow day!!</div>

Here is the finished project that my husband and the kids worked hard on. They loved the snow fort! My husband said he could even fit in there! Yep, he is a pretty good snow fort builder!! </div>

Last week I posted about eyebrow threading and said that my friend and I were thinking about getting it done. You can read about the post <a href="http://thelittlestuffmatters.blogspot.com/b/post-preview?token=E4CXHj0BAAA.F_O7BZgioiLTUldxCeRR6Q.MiCzv__MNSaAG2ocZHirlw&postId=3184808472239321693&type=POST" target="_blank">here</a>. Well, guess what?? We did, but since she is more of a DIVA than I am (no joke either) I decided to put her pictures on here and NOT mine. I am such a nice friend aren't I?? Well, getting our eyebrows done almost didn't happen. Why? Well, we got some snow the day before and we weren't sure how the roads were going to be. She always teases me about finding every excuse to stay home and she is RIGHT! I have turned into a home body after having kids! Being the great friend that I am, I risked the safety of my kids and myself to meet her at the mall to see what this eyebrow threading was all about. It turned out I needed it more than her, but I don't want to talk about that! </div>

The process of eyebrow threading is rather interesting to say the least. It only takes about 3 minutes and painless. Neither one of us have ever had this done before so it's a lot of fun to go with a friend and share the experience. Being the nice friend that I am yet again I not only put her pictures on here, but that day I let her go first before making the final decision on getting it done. Yeah, I am a great friend!! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
In case you are like us and have to bring children with you, the nice thing is that it only takes a few minutes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Children are very impatient so if you have a camera that takes pictures then they will stay entertained while both of you get it done.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is the after picture of Steph's eyebrows! Much better aren't they? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, will we be going back in 4 weeks? I have a feeling we will be. The price of beautifying ourselves was only $10 and it only took 3 minutes! Why can't everything be that easy? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let me know if you have tried this or are now thinking about trying this. Don't knock it until you try it ladies!! Oh, and I might add that this might be a better way to go for those who get really irritated with the wax they use for eyebrows AND the redness doesn't last as long.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04856331525090607693noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4664463293899246961.post-31848084722393216932013-02-21T07:29:00.002-06:002013-02-21T07:29:34.135-06:00Eyebrow threading - yay or nay?<div style="text-align: center;">
I am sitting here staring at my computer wondering why I don't have any new stories to tell about my kids. The last big story was Abigail cutting her hair. I haven't made any new and outstanding recipes, Peter got braces put one, and Maison, well, he has 2 teeth on the bottom now! Besides that everything is going well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A few days ago, my friend (you know who you are) and I were talking (we talk pretty much everyday and sometimes we call and text each other in the same day) about getting our eyebrows threaded. What the heck is that? I asked. Does it hurt? How much does it cost? Okay, so am I the only person who doesn't know what that is? I hope not. I actually had to look it up. What is the big deal with it?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/EIeHYNt-rl4?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
So, I decided to Google it and came up with this You Tube video. After watching this, I am 100% sold on the idea of eyebrow threading. I am going to try it just once and see. Plus, for $10, it's not a bad price. What will it hurt? <br />
<br />
If any of you are like me, I like to check if there are health risks when trying something new. So, I found this site that explains a little more. If you would like to read it, go <a href="http://healthland.time.com/2011/08/02/does-eyebrow-threading-carry-health-risks/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
So, when that day comes that my friend and I go get our eyebrows threaded I will definitely blog about it and tell you all about my experience. <br />
<br />
If you have ever gone to get your eyebrows threaded let me know about your experience. </div>

Yesterday was a fun day, but if you ask my 9 year old he would disagree! As you can see by the photos he was definitely in need of some orthodontist work. So, as of 10:30 yesterday morning he now has braces! He did pretty good with it until they hit him with the "bad" news! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What "bad" news you ask? Well, he LOVES his popcorn and they told him he could NOT have that! Now, when I say he LOVES popcorn, I really do mean he LOVES popcorn. He would have a bowl of it every night if he could and sometimes he does! There are other foods that he has to stay away from too which is upsetting for him. He also has to take a little longer brushing his teeth which was a chore before the braces! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is so hard for him to understand why he had to have braces because all he thinks about is the food he can't have. I always joke and tell him that if he doesn't get his teeth fixed I won't be paying for senior pictures! So, please pray for him that he will get through this minor adjustment in his life. </div>

Well, last Thursday was Valentine's Day all around the world! I am sure people were getting cute homemade cards from their kids, candy, flowers, and other cute little things that says "I love you" from their children. Well, my 3 year decided that she wasn't going to do what every other child was doing on that special day. What did she get me? Have I built up the suspense enough? Well, she hands me a clump of her hair!! Yep, you read it right? A clump of her hair!! Why?? Who knows. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg73pFnkRTkXtWnsi_rVx9ZEYUYHdO8HgMAu2FCek6yukYnBFAnWmIDXpPsTwFDSsic5I7GSKnGqfnwQUGsVD7uTYUQiaYpYbs0pA_ddlXrK0bSCEt0F9mU3uYGoLV3EAez7zXOiMuWKX8/s1600/IMG_2341.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg73pFnkRTkXtWnsi_rVx9ZEYUYHdO8HgMAu2FCek6yukYnBFAnWmIDXpPsTwFDSsic5I7GSKnGqfnwQUGsVD7uTYUQiaYpYbs0pA_ddlXrK0bSCEt0F9mU3uYGoLV3EAez7zXOiMuWKX8/s320/IMG_2341.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It was so cute and innocent the way she did it though. I was putting Maison down for a nap and here she comes out in the living room with her hands behind her back and a smile on her face. "I have a surprise for you!" So, as I do every other time she says those words to me, I close my eyes and wait. "SURPRISE!" I open my eyes and see a clump of hair in her hands!<br />
<br />
Stay calm, stay calm...<br />
<br />
"Abigail, what did you do? This is bad." I say to her. She runs off into her room.<br />
<br />
When I was finally able to put Maison in his crib for his nap I was able to talk a little louder and let Abigail know how unhappy I was. I don't know who was more upset her or me? I think it was me! She had such beautiful hair!! Now, she has these flappy things by her ears! Hair grows back, I know, but I still can't believe she did that! On the bright side, she didn't give herself bangs!! </div>

I have been wanting to make my own Larabars for some time now. Most of you know what I am talking about. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0MEClXugwKEOQbeDxKVWsLI2yLV4pr1gYxSUx_Yyee3o1CuekeTURHlTQxfgJFbIv0N9WEi-52OSW6S6Z1ySOTdBqm-_TRKw3q0mVf57iqiqGBBB1bKFS6EzTgAz77N1-ahPzEn5DEms/s1600/larabar+pic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0MEClXugwKEOQbeDxKVWsLI2yLV4pr1gYxSUx_Yyee3o1CuekeTURHlTQxfgJFbIv0N9WEi-52OSW6S6Z1ySOTdBqm-_TRKw3q0mVf57iqiqGBBB1bKFS6EzTgAz77N1-ahPzEn5DEms/s1600/larabar+pic.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Anyway, I always thought they would take forever to make and I didn't have time for something that took a long time. My husband kept telling me that our friends (you know who you are) made them so I jumped on the bandwagon and tried to make them. Super easy!! Normally, the bars cost about $1.25-$1.50 in the store. Mine cost me about $.96 per bar! Not too bad!! Mine had pitted dates, raw almonds, walnuts, dark chocolate pieces, vanilla extract, and it called for salt, but I forgot to put it in! They ended up tasting fine without it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-tuP4VZAir0rEfXCZK_p_MQq6S4pK4OpEMdk21EYBp-3mY6TNtceGU3tQR4BdsvpbvWto-_NWL_zZbiJZN2xiTp7fEb5nnSEeE_j1R7xZDcxjF1VDzonNfR5Z-h1VPJkPfydN68Fnd9M/s1600/IMG_2326.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-tuP4VZAir0rEfXCZK_p_MQq6S4pK4OpEMdk21EYBp-3mY6TNtceGU3tQR4BdsvpbvWto-_NWL_zZbiJZN2xiTp7fEb5nnSEeE_j1R7xZDcxjF1VDzonNfR5Z-h1VPJkPfydN68Fnd9M/s320/IMG_2326.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First thing you have to do is choose what kind of nut you want to use. I decided to go with raw almonds since that was what the recipe called for. Typically, when I make something for the first time I don't stray from the directions. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoAZDeWcwR3nLwoO_qbWuO8dSZZKBhTC1QB_4x7f2O1gKW6ihxVcmFae4KcKq_hv9CtaIBr5zrvGKz4QPSRCgEtEZRve5ZjsvQiUWhD_z0HfFGWJahQiSNvtfDSi3A8k3fyFYD0rfGRKk/s1600/IMG_2327.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoAZDeWcwR3nLwoO_qbWuO8dSZZKBhTC1QB_4x7f2O1gKW6ihxVcmFae4KcKq_hv9CtaIBr5zrvGKz4QPSRCgEtEZRve5ZjsvQiUWhD_z0HfFGWJahQiSNvtfDSi3A8k3fyFYD0rfGRKk/s320/IMG_2327.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once the almonds are chopped up nicely, add the dates. I used pitted dates, but you can use whatever you like. Then, add the vanilla extract and salt. The recipe called for salt, but to be honest, it didn't need it. The bars you buy at the store do not have salt in them. If you want to use dark chocolate chips stir them in now.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_2iekRorLCr-q2-cGnz5s0y99Gy31LCgqBjDY1hyD4t66C2eiJhYm-zTK2YfkE_shb5ulPQKgzQKy-94hFXo4gc9O_09FWfHfsL7NFgOJVwwqt6a9q_d8o1e6YMe16jZlyUcz_mm7hSk/s1600/IMG_2328.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_2iekRorLCr-q2-cGnz5s0y99Gy31LCgqBjDY1hyD4t66C2eiJhYm-zTK2YfkE_shb5ulPQKgzQKy-94hFXo4gc9O_09FWfHfsL7NFgOJVwwqt6a9q_d8o1e6YMe16jZlyUcz_mm7hSk/s320/IMG_2328.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The last step is to place them in an 8 x 8 pan and pop them in the freezer for about 15 minutes. No need to cover them. Oh and a little tip - place wax paper in the bottom of the pan so it will be easy to lift out! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't take a picture of them cut into bars, but they were delicious. You can find the recipe <a href="http://ohsheglows.com/2013/01/16/homemade-chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-larabars/" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We have already ran out of these and I made some more today. I followed the same recipe, but instead of just almonds I added walnuts, pistachios, almonds, and cashews. No chocolate or salt this time. I didn't forget the chocolate or salt, I just didn't want them this time. Although I did forget the vanilla extract! They still taste yummy! I would like to try making them the next time with some shredded carrot! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, I hope you will give these a shot. You will NOT be disappointed.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

You ARE what you eat? What a way to start a post huh? I am finding out that it is true! <br />
<br />
There is so much controversy these days about vitamins, nutrition, and good health. There are documents of people telling us what vitamins we should be taking, what we shouldn't be taking, and so on and so on. I recently found a documentary on Netflix called "Food Matters" and all I can say is WOW! Does my family eat good food ALL the time? NO! Did I just buy 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfK1f5mWw_FjDWDVzFhepSaJ1xF0KG12cjXG2DZOD6Q1xgceXxmAanp8h5TUyVfxAMsd5B330p5woPvxZJRwrQ3kQ-OSUrllN5nJbBiNGquy_gjLfprK_M6JajRftINo52EVoIzJs3nqk/s1600/cookie+time.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfK1f5mWw_FjDWDVzFhepSaJ1xF0KG12cjXG2DZOD6Q1xgceXxmAanp8h5TUyVfxAMsd5B330p5woPvxZJRwrQ3kQ-OSUrllN5nJbBiNGquy_gjLfprK_M6JajRftINo52EVoIzJs3nqk/s1600/cookie+time.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Yes I did. So, after watching that video I asked myself why did I do that? The only reason I can come up with is that it was for a good cause (I am also friends with the Mom whose daughter was selling them to me). Oh, and the 2nd reason, should have been the 1st reason, is because they are so delicious! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUdOYcAQe00oCH-h79C93k9pF5qhk8qqGNQdtEjVUL790O-s9Yshd2K26bHRu03FLYQLC7g_xj7R29XlWbBdeybfBfxFv9b9QT2BY-9eeeY30v1Lb4wmJr1E1yS7ylFPXVP04jN5ATXA/s1600/cookie+time1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUdOYcAQe00oCH-h79C93k9pF5qhk8qqGNQdtEjVUL790O-s9Yshd2K26bHRu03FLYQLC7g_xj7R29XlWbBdeybfBfxFv9b9QT2BY-9eeeY30v1Lb4wmJr1E1yS7ylFPXVP04jN5ATXA/s1600/cookie+time1.jpg" /></a></div>
The video helped me realize that I need to slowly find ways to change how my family and I eat. Kids do not eat healthy on their own, they learn from example and I have NOT been the best example in that area. What I should start doing is to have more raw veggies and fruit available to them to grab for a snack throughout the day. I have found that if I already have cantaloupe, pineapple, grapes cleaned, cut up, and ready to eat they are more apt to eat them. The video actually says that it is true when people say, "You are what you eat!" </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/r4DOQ6Xhqss?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
This is just a teaser trailor of the full video, "Food Matters". I think you can see it on www.youtube.com too. The video talks about vitamins versus medicine. They are 100% for vitamins and against medicine. My kids currently take a whole food Vitamin C, chewable fish oil, and a vitamin D3 supplement. Some may say that they take too many, but according to the video they are fine. <br />
<br />
I don't know about you, but I can't just drastically change the way I eat and the way my family eats overnight. I would like to make changes slowly so it is not such a shock. <br />
<br />
The other video I watched is called "Hungry for Change" which is also very informative about what you are putting into your body and the how bad certain ingredients, high fructose corn syrup for example, are for you. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/3MvAM97VDE8?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
I hope you don't think that by watching these videos I know everything I need to know about being healthy and what the right foods I need to be eating. The truth is: I AM NOT! I am the last person that anyone should come to for advice on eating healthy. Remember I just bought 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies!! Do I know the healthy foods I SHOULD be eating? Yeah, I have an idea. Do I choose to eat them? Well, gosh no! Are you kidding? If I did, I would look like a super model, wear a 2 piece, and be able to wear all those cute little summer clothes! I am a work in progress. <br />
<br />
So, with that said. I hope some or most of you will learn something new from one of these videos AND change the way you eat. <br />
<br />
They mentioned something really neat in the 2nd video about dieting and that was:<br />
<br />
"I want that, but I CAN'T have it" (what most people say when on a diet)<br />
<br />
INSTEAD, say to yourselves:<br />
<br />
"I CAN have that, but I don't want it"<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

Ok, so let me just say that my kids are great, but when they are all three together - that's a different story. So, today my oldest is home from school due to parent/teacher conferences. It is only 9 in the morning and he keeps asking if we can go somewhere fun. Well, I have to get more vitamins, but according to a 9 year old, that is not fun! I don't know why that is. On top of that, Peter is my instigator. I swear Abigail whines more when he is home. He just likes to push her buttons as far he can until it drives me crazy!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then we have Abigail. All she wants to do is play with her older brother, but every single time she does, she gets hurt, the whining begins, and the tattling starts. Aaaahhhh!! I want to scream now!! Finally, she has decided to just do a puzzle "all by myself" on the floor and is content. She may have to deal with the occasional puzzle grabber -Maison- but I think she enjoys that better than being hurt by her older brother. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, that is my Friday thus far! How is yours? I plan on trying to make homemade Larabars for the first time some time today. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Today, we started learning the letter 'S'! We normally do one letter per week so I can make sure she knows the sound it makes and has practice writing the letter as well. I found this writing board downstairs. I forgot we had that so it came in handy today! </div>

Maison is doing shapes for school today. I don't think he has decided which shape tastes the best, but he did take a break and give me a cute smile (probably showing off his 1st tooth that finally came in too)! Too bad he couldn't smile like this for his 9 month pictures last week. I guess his gums were hurting. </div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Over the weekend I decided to make another Pinterest recipe find! Really easy to make too I might add, which as you know is right up my alley! I made a Peanut Butter Granola. You can put it on yogurt, cereal or just eat it by itself (which I did by the way - yum).</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilJB0RRY1_IN1FamQIt3_CQQxNMXlb5b1ZvZtriI88Z4Q7urLMshYaXLQJSJfoCZV_A000pOXok67P8avHvBm82DfvhAlOAFj3pcmnjHCusMoFrbytS0uLxJ5pygt7YM7rbqaWqdrcQsA/s1600/IMG_2286.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilJB0RRY1_IN1FamQIt3_CQQxNMXlb5b1ZvZtriI88Z4Q7urLMshYaXLQJSJfoCZV_A000pOXok67P8avHvBm82DfvhAlOAFj3pcmnjHCusMoFrbytS0uLxJ5pygt7YM7rbqaWqdrcQsA/s320/IMG_2286.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, here are the ingredients - only 5 of them! Awesome!! All you need is honey, cinnamon, oats, vanilla extract, and peanut butter (it didn't call for a certain kind of peanut butter, so I used the Natural kind).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhJ5wAMTdm14EBfbnkG0EpBr5nNqux4o3ceSMBJaj5or08MaHNaYZgaJewc3AhB5FAoHuj0cQe9cXXRPCcROEXWDgdfZ9ZIzUwfa9JFL7pmItC5bd9OOfNE6WW4xOuLx1llP-sk5IDxc/s1600/IMG_2287.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhJ5wAMTdm14EBfbnkG0EpBr5nNqux4o3ceSMBJaj5or08MaHNaYZgaJewc3AhB5FAoHuj0cQe9cXXRPCcROEXWDgdfZ9ZIzUwfa9JFL7pmItC5bd9OOfNE6WW4xOuLx1llP-sk5IDxc/s320/IMG_2287.JPG" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Whoops, almost forgot about the 6th ingredient and that is my little helper Abigail! I can't have a recipe without her!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
You can put it on some yogurt and have a delicious snack.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will definitely be making this again! Super easy, super tasty! I almost forgot to give you the recipe, so go <a href="http://www.shape.com/healthy-eating/healthy-recipes/10-healthy-peanut-butter-recipes?page=2" target="_blank">here</a> and try it out! You won't be disappointed!!</div>

I don't know about you, but I like to make cookies with easy recipes and few ingredients. The reason for this is because Abigail, my very helpful 3 year old, always wants to assist me in the kitchen. So, I feel the recipes with few ingredients and simple directions to follow are the best when I have my little helper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Recipes with the Funfetti Cake mix is all the rage on Pinterest these days. Just for kicks, type in Funfetti <a href="http://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=funfetti+recipes" target="_blank">recipes</a> and you will see what I am talking about. One day I came across these cookies, Funfetti Cake Batter Cookies and wanted to try them out on the kids. I found them on Pinterest through a blog called, Six Sisters Stuff -.http://www.sixsistersstuff.com - Awesome blog by the way. You should definitely check it out! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think I am slightly getting off topic. Anyway, where was I? Oh, the cookies!! Delicious and easy and I had everything on hand, except the cake mix. Come on now, I hope I am not the only one that loves the recipes when I only have to buy 1 or 2 things to make them! They only made 2 dozen, but when trying out a new cookie I think that's a perfect amount. It didn't take a lot of time to mix up and only took 8 minutes in the oven. </div>

Ding! Ding! All done and ready to come out! Don't they look yummy?!?! Well, Abigail liked them and Peter (the real picky eater of the family) liked them as well. I actually had to keep a close eye on him so he wouldn't sneak any before dinner. He liked them so much he wanted them in his lunch! Yeah! They have won over my family!! So excited to find a cookie that isn't too sweet and doesn't have chocolate in them! If you want to try them out you can find the recipe <a href="http://www.sixsistersstuff.com/2012/10/funfetti-cake-batter-cookies-recipe.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>

Well, our little guy is 9 months old! I can't believe it! He is getting so big!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As I am writing this, he is NOT sleeping in his crib. Surprise surprise!! He sounds so mad that I have put him in there. "Why do I have to take a nap in here ALL by myself? I want to be where all the action is!" I feel like Maison is saying (yelling) to me! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyway, Maison was nicknamed "Mr. Attitude" by my mother and I think it is very fitting most days. He still doesn't have any teeth. He does this sort of scoot or army crawl to get from one side of the room to the next! I also call it a Spiderman move because he puts his hands out on the floor and pulls himself up to them! So funny! The big thing this month is that he can sit up all by himself!! My husband had to put the baby gate back up for fear he would roll right down the stairs!! He loves to rock back and forth to music! He gets a big smile on his face when everyone is dancing around him! He refuses to eat anything we give him unless we force him to eat it. We have found that he LOVES the puffy snacks so we have been going through them really fast!! I know I call him "Mr. Attitude", but I like to think he is just deep in thought and "selective" at whom he smiles at. He loves jumping around in his bouncer and watching everyone around him! He STILL decides to take about 2 hours to go to bed at night, he STILL wakes up about once or twice at night, but we LOVE him very much!</div>
