My Friday

Ok, so let me just say that my kids are great, but when they are all three together - that's a different story.  So, today my oldest is home from school due to parent/teacher conferences.  It is only 9 in the morning and he keeps asking if we can go somewhere fun.  Well, I have to get more vitamins, but according to a 9 year old, that is not fun!  I don't know why that is.  On top of that, Peter is my instigator.  I swear Abigail whines more when he is home. He just likes to push her buttons as far he can until it drives me crazy!!

Then we have Abigail.  All she wants to do is play with her older brother, but every single time she does, she gets hurt, the whining begins, and the tattling starts.   Aaaahhhh!!  I want to scream now!!  Finally, she has decided to just do a puzzle "all by myself" on the floor and is content.  She may have to deal with the occasional puzzle grabber -Maison- but I think she enjoys that better than being hurt by her older brother.

So, that is my Friday thus far!  How is yours?  I plan on trying to make homemade Larabars for the first time some time today.

My sleeping beauty and prince

Maybe it's because it is Sunday and it's a day of REST that I am posting my children sleeping, who knows.  Am I a tad bit jealous that my kids look peaceful and most importantly, QUIET!!  Why yes, jealous that they get to sleep and SUPER HAPPY they are BOTH quiet at the same time!  It doesn't happen very often!  So, this post will be a dedication to my wonderful children who get to take naps when their Mommy doesn't!

I loved this one!  She had a good grasp on her crayons!  One time she fell asleep with her little pink stuffed puppy in one hand, also name Abigail, and a dog treat in the other hand.  She was like this ALL night long!

Ok, so let me be clear, I never told you my daughter slept like a little lady or a princess!  I don't understand why she sleeps this way!  Cracks us up though!  Plus, how does that look comfortable??

And here is the little sleeping prince! So exhausted from bouncing!  I don't even think he was in that long!  Looks so peaceful!

Let me be clear with everyone!  He does not take a whole 1-2 hour nap in this thing, never has!  He falls asleep for about 20 minutes or so and then wakes up.  He is really dreaming about something.  I wonder if it has anything to do with MILK?  Ha, ha, ha!

He is so tiny in there, you can barely see him!  So precious!  I sometimes put him in the highchair to get him away from his sister!  She can't really invade his space that high up!  He needs some time to himself too!

I don't have any of our 9 year old because, well, he would be embarrassed if I put them on here!  Well, as I end this, I hope everyone had a peaceful Sunday and hope your kiddo(s) took a nap or 2!  Hey!  Maybe you were even lucky enough to get a nap in!  If so, I am a little jealous!

I DO Love My Kids

Before I tell you about my day, can I just say that I do LOVE LOVE my kids!  Even when I only get one cup of coffee.  Even when I only get one load of laundry done (I just remembered that they are STILL in the dryer waiting for me).  Even though they make you forget the littlest things like getting the clothes out of the dryer.  Even when every time I try to put Mr. Maison down for a nap, Ms. Sassypants decides to make her appearance!  Not a quiet one I might add.  Even when I don't get a shower until 3 in the afternoon, with the constant interruption from my 3 year old playing peek-a-boo with the shower curtain!  I LOVE MY KIDS!!

So, with that said, I love my little man!  I love that this is how he greets me and always wants to see what's going on!  Loves getting kissed on and starts kicking when he gets excited about something.  I love watching him grow into his own little person.  I love that he has certain ticklish spots that he tries to control, but breaks down and starts laughing that baby laugh that I wish I could remember forever!  This is what keeps me going.

I also love my little lady - princess - of the house!  We call her Ms. Sassypants most of the time.  I love the way she makes me laugh with her serious face.  I love how she is always wanting to help me.  I love her silly dance moves.  I love listening to her tell a story about something that doesn't make sense to me, but to her it makes perfect sense.  I love how she loves to cuddle.  This is what keeps me going.

I love my oldest boy too!  I love how he loves to cuddle too, but NOT in public!  I love watching him play baseball and basketball with so much enthusiasm.  I love his interest in Pokeman cards even though I don't see the point.  I love the fact that even though he is only 9 he believes in God and loves Him.  I love how he has been so helpful with Abigail and Maison.  This is what keeps me going.

So, after I had a day like today where it seemed like I couldn't accomplish one thing and wanted to cry my eyes out more than once, my children make me laugh.  For a split second I forget why I am irritated with my 3 year old and her ability to be slow as molasses when we need to going out the door, and just LAUGH.  Laughter IS the BEST medicine!  Since I have had one of those days, this is how it ended.  Doesn't she look so peaceful?  Yep, I love this look, the best!  Who doesn't??  So, I hope tomorrow is better and I get more accomplished.
