The forbidden question

Ok, so first let me say, I am not pregnant!  You know when you see a woman and you wonder if she is pregnant or not?  Come on, I know I am not the only one who wonders.  Do you ask her or just keep wondering?  You should just keep wondering - always!  Never ask!  Let me be clear, NEVER ASK a woman that you don't know if she's pregnant!  That is so wrong!  Do you ask a woman you don't know how old she is or how much she weighs?  NO!!!!  I am sure a lot of you are wondering where this is going and I will tell you.

Tonight, Maison and I stayed home to pass out candy for Halloween.  When I went to the door (holding Maison) a woman asked how old Maison was.  I told her 6 months and then she asked me 'the question'. "Are you pregnant again?"  Really?  And here I thought I was doing good losing weight.  You know the Ally McBeal series where they show her doing something that she didn't really do?  Well, that's what happened here.  Instead I just laughed it off and asked her, "Are you kidding?"   Maison is my 3rd baby and this is the first time I have been asked that forbidden question.

So, sorry there isn't much to this post today, but I had to get it off my chest.  I do think it's funny.  Having been asked that question on Halloween night where there was all kinds of candy around.  So, I decided I would feel better after having not 1, not 2, but 3 pieces of candy - Reese's peanut butter cup, almond joy, and a twix (the smaller one, not that actually size - geez, I wasn't that depressed)!  Do I feel better?  Yes, yes I do.  I am also going to be dusting off the treadmill sometime today!

When I was talking to my friend, who has all kinds of good advice, she told me I should me I should have said, "Yes, I am having twins!"  So, heaven forbid if I get asked that forbidden question again, that is what I will say.  Thanks Steph for the wonderful advice!

  1. I LOVE (insert sarcasm here) how people are soooo opinionated and have absolutely NO filter! GRRR! people are so ridiculous! I think telling them you are pregnant with twins though is a GREAT idea! Then you'll get the shocked "Oh are you having anymore or are you the Duggars?" I just LOVE those comments! Get them all the time!
